Arrive in the city of Calgary and board the coach for your transfer to Banff, nestled in Banff National Park – uncontested as one of the most beautiful places on the planet. The drive kicks off the scenery with views of rolling foothills and snow peaks of the Rockies. Enjoy your first night settling in and relaxing with an evening meal before the explorations begins the following day.

Teeming with monster mountains, glaciers, forests and glistening lakes, Banff is nothing short of jaw-dropping. When it comes to skiing, hiking and water activities, the appeal grows bigger. Spend your days in Banff by taking a gondola ride to the summit of Sulphur Mountain, exploring Banff National Park, a wildlife tour in Bow Falls and lapping up the vibe of the bustling town.
Check out of your Banff hotel and hope back on the coach for a spell binding drive along the Icefields Parkway to Jasper. Stopping off at the Columbia Icefield for a tour on the Athabasca Glacier and then Peyto Lake is totally worth it. Your time in Jasper can include a trip to Jasper National Park – Visit Maligne Lake for a boat cruise to spirit Island, hike in Maligne Canyon and ride on the SkyTram for panoramic views. As the sun sets, gaze skywards – Jasper is the place for a glowing night sky to awe at.

Your epic Rocky Mountaineer journey begins from Jasper to Kamloops. This all-day rail journey provides panoramic views of the Continental Divide through glass-domed carriages along with breakfast and lunch on board, expect gourmet dining at its best. The train travels through the dramatic landscapes of the Rockies passing the highest peak in the Rockies, Mount Robson and the stunning Pyramid Falls. As evening approaches, you’ll disembark in Kamloops for an overnight hotel stay.

Continue your journey aboard the Rocky Mountaineer as you head west from Kamloops to Vancouver. Along the way, you will pass the arid Fraser Canyon and turbulent waters of Hell’s Gate. Enjoy breakfast and lunch onboard once again before arriving in Vancouver where the rail adventure will end. Head into the vibrant downtown area and select one of the endless restaurants to eat at.
Enjoy a couple of days at leisure in Vancouver – Explore the city’s quirky neighbourhoods, visit Stanley Park and the famous Seawall before a trip to Granville Island and the Capilano Suspension Bridge. If the outdoors are your thing, you can hike, bike and ski in the nearby mountains. Consider a ferry ride to Vancouver Island, a gateway to the Capital, Victoria. On day 9, your holiday ends here and you can depart from Vancouver International Airport.
